For the past 27 years volunteers have been playing a key role in making the Walk a huge success. As we prepare for the 27th Annual Walk for the Animals we are once again in need of a dedicated volunteer staff to man positions throughout the event.
Our volunteers play a critical role in helping to ensure the Walk is a huge success. You can be an important part of this day. The positions require you to be on-site early in the morning and you will be working for the duration of the day (during Walk hours), so you will be unable to participate in the actual Walk itself. This is a physical day that will require you to walk, stand, be exposed to music and many, many people. You will have the opportunity to chat with many animal lovers and visit with hundreds of happy dogs. One thing we can guarantee is you'll take home great memories from the 2017 Walk for the Animals.
Because this is a hectic day, we require that all volunteers leave their pets at home so they can fully concentrate on the event. We also request that Walk day volunteers are 18 years or older, however there will be some positions available for responsible teens accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of the event.
Below are examples of a few of our Walk Day Volunteer Opportunities. For a full list of volunteer positions and more information please contact Lacey Freeman, Director of Volunteer Services at 954-266-6814.
