Thank you for visiting our Save a Sato Walk for the Animals fundraising page.

We welcome you to join our Pack or make a donation. This program means so much to the Humane Society of Broward County and has enriched the lives of thousands of people in South Florida.

The Save a Sato program started about 20 years ago. The Humane Society of Broward County works with a shelter in Puerto Rico that has an overabundance of animals and not enough adopters. Weekly, dogs and now cats are flown to Florida from the Puerto Rican shelter. When they arrive from  their long journey, the HSBC gives each animal a complete medical check. They are then put up for adoption to find their forever home. It is said that once a family adopts a Sato pet, they steal their heart forever. There is something so special and so grateful about these amazing animals. Sato adopters come to our shelter and specifically ask for Sato animals when they're ready to adopt again. We are proud to be working with these animals to give them the second chance they deserve.

Jay, our Pack's mascot, came here at 8 weeks old. His family saw him in the kennels and it was truly love at first site! He's been spoiled and loved, giving him the life that every pet should have. His family says he has given it back tenfold with the joy he's brought to their lives.

Please consider joining the Save a Sato Pack or making a donation so the Humane Society of Broward County can continue caring for animals in South Florida and beyond.

Thank you from Jay and all of the Save a Sato animals that we've welcomed.

See why so many of us Walk each year...
